Last night we attended a New York screening of Marley and Me, to which dogs were invited (they were allowed to bring their owners as well). There was a red carpet and all the dogs had their photos taken. Here we are with Daphne, who was, by far, the most well behaved dog at the event. She really was shocked at the behavior of some of the other dogs. In the photo, she is looking at the antics of the dog who played Marley, who was just off camera. The Marley dog had been trained to act a little wild and bark at people and Daphne was absolutely mortified. She posed politely for the cameras, then slept on the floor at my feet during the whole film.
She is a good dog.

I took photos of other dogs on the red carpet and today, when I get my new USB cord, I will be able to load them all on the computer for you.
Daphne is a red carpet professional. She was born to be star. I am sure you gave her a few pointers before the red carpet event. I see she is showing her best side. Daphne had one proud Mom and Dad beside her. Looking Great Girl!
What a cool screening!
I bet that was fun!
So how is the movie? Thumbs up or down?
Ann, I got a chuckle out of that post. Daphne is a sweetheart. Great pic of the 3 of you.
I’m looking forward to that movie, it looks good.
: )
Ann:
All three of you are lookin’ mighty sharp! I’ve put Marley and Me on my netflix list because judging on my reaction to the ending of the book (loud sobbing), I don’t want to embarrass myself in a theater full of strangers. Love your coat, by the way. Can’t wait to see the pictures of the misbehaved dogs on the red carpet. It’s nice that Daphne can step up for her species. What a good dog!
A star is born! Go Daphne!
That is SO CUTE!!!! I LOVE the fact the invite was for the dogs to bring their owners. lol! You’re lucky Daphne is so well behaved. Nice picture of the 3 of you!
My husband did some work on “Hotel for Dogs” and for the closing credits the crew members were asked to get individual shots with their dogs. So on that day, my husband took our dog for the shoot. When it was their turn to get their picture taken, Shanti jumped off of Will’s lap and ran across the soundstage to the craft service table and lifted his leg and ……lol!
Was the movie really heartbreaking? Or is it worth the tears?
Ha! I love that you’re each looking in a different direction.
Aww, good girl, Daphne! Ann, was it hard to choose between taking her and taking Lulu?
Also, I really want to see that movie, except, knowing the ending *ahem*, I’m going to have to pass.
Awww did you like the movie? I cant wait to see it. You must be so proud to take such a lady out on the town and show her off.
That is a great pic of you all…..I am sure Daphne felt like a queen with all the attention….
