“Thanks everyone for the nice comments of solidarity and for prayers.
I didn’t sleep so good last night, Tv has been on alive on the updates in
the damaged areas. At 1 am there was another substantial tremor but I
didn’t feel that, I was asleep and tired. The problem is that some expert
say, the strongest one has still to come, I hope he is wrong!
The fallowing is the balance:
150 Deads
250 Missing
70.000 Homeless
100 Rescued
The Prime Minister Berlusconi said the State owns the funds to cope this
situation immediately (he asked emergency money from the EU) so they have
already tents, blankets and food, but thousands of people need to have an
hope to begin again a normal life. Entire towns have to be rebuilt. I
actually didn?t mean to ask for donations on here. I just wanted to share
my sorrow and solidarity for the earthquake?s victims and homeless.

You didn’t ruin the day at all Ylenia. We are so happy that you and your family are safe and appreciate your commentary from the disaster area. SO scary about the expected tremor! Stay safe.
Bless you Ylenia for even remembering that the first episode is tonight. My brother was telling me lastnight that his oldest son and some friends from school are trying to get a team to go over and help with the rebuilding.I trully hope that these types of talks turn into results,and I am sure all of us know you weren’t looking for help just looking to let the web family know.

Ann – just wanted you to know that Newsday (The Long Island Newspaper) – came out with a kick ass review about tonights first episode of Rescue Me citing the writing and acting nothing short of brilliant. You should be able to see the online version at Newsday.com. The reviewer made a point of saying that they really stepped it up this season. I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!! We’ve waited way too long.
I have all the seasons of Rescue Me and it sits on my special shelf next to all my volume DVDs of Sex in the City, Viggo Mortensen and Russell Crowe flix. How much sillier can you get.
Dear Ylenia, I’m just now catching up on my reading here and wanted to add to what everyone else here has already said…I am so VERY happy to know that you and your family are safe! Reading the news stories are so sad; I can’t imagine being there in the midst of it all. My prayers and thoughts go out to everyone affected by this earhtquake. I am praying that it’s over…no more tremors! Please keep us posted Ylenia; we are thinking of you.

wow, thank you ann and ylenia for keeping us informed of what is happening in abruzzo. there is really not a lot of coverage about it here and that is such a HUGE disaster, i wish they would cover it more here.
i also hope that seismologist is wrong about a bigger one coming. i’m happy you and your family are safe ylenia and thank you for letting us know what is happening.
