Congrats Ann! I’m just reading this now, I was dealing with computer problems here at work literally all day at work yesterday, so was only on the blog first thing in the morning. How dare my job get in the way of my blog reading???
I’m so excited about your book. About how long does it take for a book to be published after it’s turned in? I realize there are usually rewrites, etc, but I’ve always wondered how long of a process it is.

Oh oh I have so much to share today! First, thank you Ann and Lynn. I now know WAY more about my own blog than I ever did before. I had no clue you could find out all of this cool stuff. Can’t wait to see what folks are googling and end up with mine!

Judith from Aberdeen- my daughter (the middle kid, not the Tanya Harding Wanna Be) is interning at Seattle’s NPR station. Every time we drive past your town we always laugh (lovingly, not in that bad way) about how some Scottsman must have missed his homeland enough to name the town this way. (Also, I feel so close to you since you read all the archives too.)
One last thing, tomorrow (the 28th) is our 27th wedding anniversary, so my husband and I drove over to the coast today (long story). On our way home (to avoid traffic and construction, we ended up not exactly lost, but sort of off the beaten track) I was telling him the Ann and Denis story, complete with Marc et al. And was wondering what had happened to the third book. Now it’s on the road to us! I can’t wait. We shall support you in this limbo time. (Panting all the while.)

I’ve been reading your blog for a little over a year and did take the time to go back to the very first blog and read them all. How exciting!! Your third book is in the hands of your agent! All of us here will support you during this “dreadful limbo” time. It’s going to be difficult waiting to get my hands on this novel. How on earth have you managed to write three novels, raise two amazing children, maintain a thriving and magical marriage, and immerse yourself in numerous philanthropical endeavors, not to mention all of the various everyday-life chores, errands, and tasks you accomplish? I tip my (imaginary) hat to you.

A little edu for anyone who is interested in interpreting site stats:
What you want to pay attention to is “page views” rather than “hits”. The number of hits on a page reflects a count of every file that loads when the page loads; ie: every graphic, every script, etc. As such, it’s not a reliable stat by which to judge your traffic flow. Also note the distinction between “visits” and “unique visits” with the later referring to first-time visitors and the former to return traffic.
