If you live in or near Connecticut, I can’t urge you strongly enough to purchase tickets for MOMIX’s 30th Anniversary show at the Warner Theater, in Torrington, CT. Momix, as most of you know, is the dance company of Moses Pendleton and Cynthia Quinn and this year marks their 30th anniversary. The show, called “Momix Remix” will be running January 9th and 10th. For more information or to order your tickets, click here.

That’s it! I’m moving to CT. There’s just no culture here in California.
Thanks to all for your kind words. And special thanks to Dr. Leary for making me laugh on Christmas Day. I had just ordered “Why We Suck” and started reading it. Laughed so hard I practically cried, and couldn’t put it down. Ann, please tell Denis he needs to write more books to help us through bad times, maintain our perspectives and just keep us laughing!
Kim, sorry your husband was in hospital for Christmas, but glad to hear he’s recovering. Loved your “horizontal/medicated” comment. Once again, keeping the sense of humor.
Tracy, glad you don’t need surgery, but it’s a real bummer being on crutches. Been there, done that. I do remember that my boobs got bigger and firmer, if that’s any consolation. And do ask for and accept help from others.
Catherine, the cranial/sacrum massage sounds awful – and hilarious.
I’m going out now to see if I can find – of all things – a Snuggie!

To Ann:
He knows when you’re happy
He knows when you’re comfortable
He knows when you’re confident
And he always knows when you have carrots.

Can we request a few pics from Mr. MP? They are the best.
Linda, you can thank him yourself, tomorrow, when we do a test run of my new “Live Chat” blog corner. Very excited. Will let you all know what time.
Also, I have a few MP photos that I haven’t posted, plus some GORGEOUS dogs available for adoption. So much to blog, so little time!
Linda, love the comment about crutches and your boobs. lolol Well mine are quite big already, so don’t need that, but maybe they’ll firm up. hehehe
Chat with Denis is tomorrow??? Ooh, I’m so excited. But I won’t have read Why We Suck yet.
Ann, two questions: As Alan asked when you first brought this up, how much does Denis know about how crazy we really are?
Second, are we allowed to ask Rescue Me questions/general career questions?
I don’t want to make any faux pas. I’m pretty sure I pissed him off when I met him on set, which I didn’t mean to do, I was giving him a compliment! Not that he would remember it. lolol
Well, I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve never seen Rescue Me, and know little about Denis, except that he is brilliantly funny. As a matter of fact, the first time I heard him on air was with Don Imus a few months ago. It was a great interview. I can’t believe he agreed to participate in the live chat. His eyes must have looked upward when he agreed.
I agree Aislinn, I’m thinking he must be thrilled. lololol
I think DL deserves the Husband of the Year award for agreeing to chat with us. He must REALLY love Ann!
Ann and Denis–Thank you! Looking forward to it—hope the time works for ALL of us, but just in case I CAN”T make it, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you both now.
Tracy-I’m so glad you ordered “Why We Suck”—it’s the best kind of medicine—funny AND thought-provoking, just like Ann’s books are (but I know you’ve already read them!)
Pillow talk: Shopping for my husband is not an easy task—he is a nice, easy-to-please guy who wants “anything” or “nothing.” Last year, he expressed interest in a Tempur-pedic (sic?) pillow (like the mattresses). He loves it and my daughters and I all think it’s like sleeping on a ROCK! However, he swears by it and we never steal it, so everybody’s happy. It IS pretty pricey, though (about $150.00 Canadian). Therefore, I’d try the Walmart solution first (if it was my neck). I was just so thrilled to finally find something he’d really like, that I gladly paid up! Good luck on your quest for a pain-free neck!
Lynne, I have a tempur-pedic mattress, needed a new one desperately, so when I refinanced my house 5 or 6 years ago, I took out enough cash for that and some home improvements. I love my mattress!
I tried the pillow, one came free with the mattress, but I didn’t like it. There really are a mind numbing amount of choices out there, and you could spend a fortune trying out different ones until you found the one that works for you.
Pillow Talk continued.. thank you all for your suggestions,, Lynne, my last ditch effort was a $10 pillow from Walmart and so far so good. I have a satin pillowcase that is slipped nicely into. I am glad that I am not alone in the closet full of pillows.
Tracy I will check on the one on your link as well.
Linda S that is a riot about your Mark Eden Bust Enhancer Crutches.. like I said before this blog is a wealth of information.
Ann – I absolutely love the Kindle 2 but I wish it had a backlight for night reading don’t you? Not sure if you have the 2 or the DX.
Thank you to all who responded to the pillow dilemna. Tracey I will have to check out the one you recommended, hope you are the mend and not wandering around too much.
Lynne I did find one at Walmart for $10 which I slid into my satin pillowslip cover,, so far so good on this one.
Linda you crack me up with your Mark Eden Bust Enchancer Crutches!!!
