Anniversary Issue

baddog.JPG

In honor of the 2nd anniversary of the blog that I never thought I’d bother with after the first few entries, I’m going to post a few links to some earlier entries, so that you all can see how I’ve grown as a blogsteress.  How I’ve blossomed.

This is a personal favorite, about how I tried to help Moby with his musical career.

Notice how I, a) shamelessly name-dropped, and b) provided links with all the celebrities’ names.  Somebody had told me that when you link to a famous person or thing, anybody who searches for that person will be instantly brought to your site.  Oh those were innocent, glorious, heady times.

Come to Me

I believe I’ve posted this photo before, but the blog has been looking a little drab lately, so here it is again.  I know. I know.

I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to post a new blog entry each day, these past few weeks. I’ve been a little busy.  It actually makes me uneasy all day, if I haven’t posted a blog. I would say that it makes me feel as if I left my bed unmade, but in fact, leaving my bed unmade doesn’t make me uneasy at all.  I do it all the time.  But I will try to blog each day, even if it’s short.

I’m With Stupid

It’s cold and grey here in Connecticut today, which makes it a perfect movie day. Two hours ago, I tuned in, as I always do on rainy Sundays, to TCM and was delighted to find a movie that I have never seen before.  It was Light in the Piazza, starring Olivia de Havilland.

Such Strange Goings-On

I’m an early to bed, early to rise kind of gal. But for some reason, last night at 1:00 in the morning, I was wide awake and working away at my computer and I decided to check out the old blog. This blog. Just to see who had commented and everything.  Maybe to have a little peek at somebody when he was all clean and not covered in mud again (as he is now).

Take a Virtual Trip

Some of you might recall our trip to Positano, Italy last year, when we stayed at Le Sirenuse, a breathtakingly beautiful hotel that is perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. During the tourist season, the world comes to Le Sirenuse, and the owners, Antonio, Carla and Franco Sersales, have hosted many famous and glamourous people over the years. During the off-season, they like to travel to the most remote regions of the world, because they are avid wanderers, ever-hungry for the sights, sounds and tastes of foreign lands.

A Makeover Story

Once there was a short, stocky horse named Mark. A short, stocky, filthy, mud and manure-covered horse whose mistress had the desire to ride him again, as she had done, for many years, during their prime. Yes, they had shared a very good prime, but now one of them …well, he had let himself go. So, one fine spring day, it was decided that Mr. Mark would have himself a spa day!

Springing into Action

Thanks to all who participated in the breast cancer discussion, and special thanks to Ziggy who is going through so much and still found the time to write such a delightful, insightful and informative blog.

We’ve had a beautiful week and I’ve been doing some spring cleaning. Yesterday I decided to give Mark a makeover.  It’s been a little muddy here and he’s grown quite the winter coat.  My plan was to wash and clip him. The washing and drying took longer than I had anticipated due to mud and overall shagginess, so I’ll have to do the clipping today.  Thought I’d give you a little glimpse of my beautiful steed before his makeover began.  If you can’t view video, click here.
