A new NPR radio show was born today. It’s called HASH HAGS and is hosted by authors Julie Klam, Laura Zigman and me!
Every week we will decide on a topic and will invite a special guest on the show to discuss this topic. What will the topics be? Well, we’d like you and our friends on Facebook and Twitter to decide that. You may post suggestions on our Hash Hags Facebook page, or you may tweet them on @hashhags.com. Or you may post them in the comments here.
The debut show has already been posted by our station RobinhoodRadio.com! You may listen to it by clicking here. We don’t have a guest, on this, our virgin show – we’re basically just …well, trying to sort out what the show will be about. But there’s a contest! And great prizes. So have a listen, enter to win some amazing prizes and we welcome your feedback.
I will listen to the show at lunch, and I must say I just love the name you girls picked, very clever. Best of luck.
Thanks Candy
Congratulations and best of luck! I know you will have great fun doing the show!!!
Oh congrats
I will listen at lunch too!
If anyone is interested I posted our family pics at my blog

My son just sent me this YouTube video. So funny:

Ann,
All I can say is OMG!! Hysterical. I laughed out loud.
Thanks for some much needed laughter, it’s been a while.
I plan to listen to podcast, but didn’t get to the downloading it part yet. This Mary Kitchen can brings back a few memories….can’t believe there was a time when I actually ate that, and didn’t realize how unhealthy it is.
Too cute. I love this dog’s profile!
As many of you know, I’m doing an event this Sunday for Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury. I have been researching US literacy rates. Here’s the opening paragraph on a website that is devoted to addressing this very issue. It kind of makes me sic (pun intended):
“The literacy rate in the US has many educators in search of answers about this problem that has plagued our country for decades. Instead of decreasing, the numbers of literacy has steadily increased over the years. This raises a lot of questions about our education system, how it is ran, and why there is such a problem with illiterate people in our country.”
All I can say is God help us.
I have Waiting for Superman coming soon from Net Flix.
I can’t wait to get home to listen to the podcast.
That paragraph from the literacy website is an embarrassment. Oy.
I just listened to the podcast. You guys are so funny. Silly and funny. I loved it. I can’t wait for the next one.
I listened to the podcast this morning (on my iPod Touch) while driving to work. The chatter was very funny and entertaining! It was like having three sisters. Or three wives.
Just listened to podcast. It is what my husband would call a “yakfest”. Just a bunch of chicks sitting around yakking. There is nothing like time spent with good girlfriends, I find as I get older, I have to make an effort to make time for this, because we all have so many obligations, and are being pulled in so many different directions. You remind me how much fun it is. Add a few bottles of wine and it can go on for hours. Thanks, Ann, looking forward to hearing more from you three ladies, I really enjoyed it.
Alan…your idea of hell?? Three wives???
I meant three funny wives, of course.
Congratulations to all of you! How fun! I can’t wait to listen
I liked it. Reminded me of sitting around with my girlfriends talking and laughing at each other.
I just finished listening to Hash Hags. Very funny. My favorite part was when you confessed to being a lay nun and knowing all about the sacrament. I look forward to that future episode. Maybe it will be a call in show that day.
I just listened with my headphones on and my hubby kept asking what i was snickering about lol
Just another funny vid – hope you can open:

HI! I didn’t have time to read all the posts, but am “volunteering” my services if you ever need a guest to talk about dog and cat grooming and animal health as I worked as a vet tech for 10 years before entering the grooming madness. There are alot of questions people tend not to ask their own groomers for fear of “upsetting” them: everything from certain haircuts to prices to etiquette on tipping, who to tip, and suggestions on when is the best time to book your pet’s appointment (seriously, there ARE better times!). If you are interested, I’d love to answer questions.
Just finished listening to your first show and loved it. I want to be a Hash Hag too! Ok – NEVER thought I’d ever utter those words.
Hail to the Hash Hags.
You girls rock.
I follow all of you on twitter–I am @mpf2011 so I will follow @hashhags.com also. I’m sure it will be great with all that talent in one place but I think you 3 will have the most fun of all.
Good for you!
Marilyn
