I’ve got the PERFECT solution! I’ll send you my 13yr old daughter who would just ADORE living in that country home as long as she can use her cell and text non stop & I’ll take care of Gomer, LOL! Wanna try her for a weekend? Hang in there Ann!
LOVE, love, love Gomer! My parents handled empty nest syndrome by having a garage sale and moving to a smaller house. I lost my barbies AND my room! Tough love, baby.
Oh I’ve heard of those dogs. They are a good-all-around kind of dog! Our German shepherds are our babies, other than our actual kids too, and they are just as spoiled!
Well, I guess Holly must be locked in the closet somewhere. I can’t believe she was not in the middle of this. Please post a pic of your new horse, would love to see more of him. I noticed all your horses are males, is this by choice?
Oh –so cute !! I know the feeling too; our puggle is now our baby since our Liz ( real daughter! ) moved to Florida. They really do become our babies and anyone who thinks they aren’t part of the family have just never had one ! I work with a woman who won’t go on Facebook anymore, ever since her”friends” made fun of her over her sadness when she lost her 18 yr old cat. Those aren’t friends.
I love it! It’s funny that as our children grow we find ourselves doting on our doggies. I love Gomer’s face and the way he sat waiting politely for each spoonful! Good boy Gomer!
So glad to know that I’m not the only one that sometimes feeds my dogs with a untensil….especially yogie and “candy” (which is whipped cream cheese with a pill hidden inside). I have a friend with 2 Leonbergers. Each dog outweighs her by a number of pounds. Wonderful breed.
An avid fan finally delurking because I just had to comment. What a sweet video. Ann you are my kind of fur mom. I sometimes feed my golden yogurt the same way. What a beautiful face too and the lip smacking LOL!
Gomer seems like such a gentle dog. Such good manners. I thought you were feeding him cake batter. ‘
Finally done packing and ready to go. I had a feeling of being unwell all day yesterday and the day before. I thought it was hypochondria. Finally I realized it’s because I had a lump in my throat because I have to put Lily Belle with friends for awhile. Had to say bye bye temporarily to her.
Issue with traveling that had me white-knuckled and ready to have a stroke is resolved. Here I go!
Oh my goodness, lol, lol, lol! Ann, that’s pathetic in an hilarious way.
Funny, that’s EXACTLY the same reaction I had to this display of doggy indulgence!
hahaha!! That’s my kind of baby!
Awww. Feeding the baby the good stuff.
Hahahah such a sweet Boy!

I suspect ALL your critters are spoon fed.
And a way smarter empty nest activity than baking a chocolate cake and eating it!!
I LOVE this! Too funny!
Gomer has terrific table manners! He never fails to make me smile.
Oh, this made me laugh out loud!
How adorable! What a beautiful dog!!!
That is exactly how I feel about my two German Shepherds. Just loved it! That Gomer’s face is too adorable.
That’s a movie star face if ever I saw one!
That is great! Love it! What kind of dog is he? He’s adorable
Let me guess. Ice Cream? I just love Gomer’s eyes.
Great way to manage your empty nest syndrome. Gomer is adorable – as are the other furry children!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Gomer is a Leonberger. He’s eating his “yogie.”
That’s baby/dog talk for yogurt.

Aww, looks like Gomer has this skill down pat! And..what manners he has! Don’t forget to burp him
Ann… just as long as you do not feed other people’s babies in public… you shuld be just fine….:) Gomer loves it. Does Holly get some too??

Look at that FACE!!!! Too sweet!
PS I’m jealous. Your fridge door looks so clean and I have tons of photos on my fridge…it looks so cluttered. Must do something about that!
I hold the reeses wrapper up so my dog Goober can lick the part that sticks to bottom. Is that weird?
I have a sudden craving for Cream of Wheat. Or maybe ice cream. Can’t decide which.
Ah … YOGURT. That’s it.
Very very sweet. Gomer is an unabashed pleasure seeker and his eyes say, “i love you mom.”
Ahhhh that was a great way to start the day, thank you for sharing!
)))

Made my day.

What a feast for the eyes and the ears! You made many-a-martin’s day. I hope tomorrow is a positive day for the empty nest. Cheers!

I just love Gomer.
This is hilarious! I often feed my dog Riley anything left over on a spoon. Funny how they adapt and figure out real quick how to get at the stuff.
