Oh, The Places I’ll Go This Month

This past Monday I had the great pleasure of participating in author Alice Hoffman’s annual fundraiser, An Evening With your Favorite Authors, to support the Hoffman Breast Center at Mt. Auburn hospital.  I had a great time seeing a few authors that I know and meeting a few others that I had only known prior to the event from reading their books.

Here’s a photo of all of us who read or spoke at the event which took place at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge.  All but one person in the photo are authors.  If you can name all the authors, I will happily send you a signed copy of my book.  The first to name all, that is.

Next Tuesday, I’ll be in Chicago at an event called “Ideas Week.”  I’ll be part of a panel of authors appearing at the Cadillac Theater at 4:00 on Tuesday, October 15th.  Here’s more information.   I’m really looking forward to this event, come if you’re in the area.

Then, on Friday, I’ll be at Jabberwocky Books, in Newburyport, Mass., signing copies of The Good House.   It starts at 7PM, there’ll be a short reading, Q&A, signing, etc.  So if you live on the North Shore, come on over to Jabberwocky!

The very next day, which is Saturday, October 19th, I’ll be at the Boston Book Festival in Copley Square, Boston.  I’ll be joining authors Tom Perrotta, J. Courtney Sullivan and George Harrar in a discussion about fiction. It’s at the Trinity Sanctuary at 2:30 PM.

On October 25th, at 7PM, I’ll be at the Warner Theater in Torrington, CT, as part of the Litchfield County Writer’s Project series.  You know, chatting more about the book.

Finally, on October 29th, at 7PM I’ll be reading and signing books at the Southbury Public Library in Southbury, CT.

To find out more details about any of these events, just go to the links in this post or the events page on this website.  Hope to see some of you at one of these events this month!

So excited for you Ann! Let’s see if I can name the authors: L-R, Ann Leary, Alice Hoffman, Jodi Picoult, Greg Maguire, non-author :), Elinor Lipman, Ann Hood and Lee Woodruff — such a good cause to help Mt. Auburn Hospital – both my daughters were born there and Sammy (my Emerson College senior) just turned 21! Was just in Boston for her birthday and we all met up at The Black Rose – the last time she was there with us she was in a stroller! Enjoy your literary ride!! Donna
