Let’s read Edith Wharton’s THE CUSTOM OF THE COUNTRY. It’s one of my favorite books and I’m dying to reread it.
This book is delightful, you’ll love to hate the main character and you won’t be able to put it down. Shall we discuss September 9th?

Lousie, now that you’ve confessed, I’ll fess up too. I stayed in my pjs all weekend too. Mine were flannel with cats on them. But I was on the sofa (still sleeping there so I don’t have to climb the stairs with the leg), and watched all kinds of stuff on my tivo. My guilty pleasure was Jersey Shore. lol It’s such a train wreck, it’s fabulous. I’m so sad it’s over. hmmm, all the episodes may still be on my deleted list on the tivo. I may be able to have a marathon. rotflmao
I see nothing wrong with this picture. Nope.
My biggest guilty pleasure is to lay in bed, with 2 Sunday papers (SF Chronicle & Sac Bee) and not emerge until lunch is called. Yes, my husband enables this behavior. The only problem is I can’t get the Sunday Globe *heavy sigh*.
Ann – Holly & Coco’s faces are so expressive! Holly’s face has mischief written all over it, while Coco’s disgust at the young ‘un is equally obvious. As for the “beddesk”, I can relate because I spent Sat. & Sun. in my pj’s (I’m talking fleece with snowmen…nothing silky, sexy)watching the Australian Open, football, Dog Whisperer and my guilty pleasure, Real Housewives. Only hauled my ever-growing butt off the couch to cook and eat and use the restroom..in that order. Oh, the shame….
lolol Fabulous. Looks cozy, though I don’t think I’d get anything done. It actually reminds me of me on the sofa all weekend, only with cats.
Do you get up from your desk when Denis is home for the weekend? Are you sure you’ll be able to tear yourself away for this Saturday night????
Edith Wharton wrote in bed, too… although she dictated her books to her secretary. I suppose you are the modern version of that… (!)
Only thing missing is the giant bowl of popcorn!
Nice! The best “desk” to have! I use a pillow too as the top of my desk too!
I am proud to say I am currently in the exact same position as you are! Only difference is my dog is at the foot of the bed and my Mac is silver!!! What a great way to spend a rainy Sunday.
Now…that looks absolutely wonderful….and inviting!!
